Our Story

SWolta Ventures was started by Julia Stefani and Matthew White. Julia is a Product and Engineering executive and Matt is a Data and Engineering executive. They have a combined 35 years of experience between consulting, fortune 500, government and startup companies with deep expertise in the fintech and health-tech domains.

Our name—Swolta—is a nod to “svolta,” the Italian word for “turning point,” and a blend of our names: Stefani + White. We chose this name, because that’s what we aim to be for every client—a meaningful turning point in their journey, whether they’re scaling a product, growing a team, or stepping into their next big role.

We combine fractional executive services with career and interview coaching to help product leaders and startups grow with clarity, confidence, and momentum.

Meet the Team

  • Julia is originally from Albania. She moved to the US in 2004 to study computer science and finance. While she started her career as an engineer she has spent the last decade in product. Julia currently serves as the Chief Product Officer at Treasure Financial where she leads the product, design and engineer teams. Before Treasure Julia spent time at the Invest team at SoFi, payments team at Meta and was part of the San Francisco founding team at Expedia brand. 

    Similar to Matt her favorite activity is spending time with her two toddlers.

  • Matt has a career of almost 20 years in technology with a deep expertise in Health Tech. He currently serves as the Data and Innovation Officer at Contra Costa Health Services where he concentrates on bringing the power of the technology ecosystem to the health services. Matt loves solving problems with technology and serving an underrepresented community. Native to California, Matt spent the first decade of his career as a conultant with Accenture. Matt has spent his career in data and technology roles growing from an engineer to an executive. 

    Outside of work you can find him doing gymnastic or mountainbiking, but his favorite activity is building zoos and playing dinoaurs with his two toddlers.
